Your wishlist stays private until you choose to share it
Every new Twish wishlist starts visible to "Only me." Nothing is shared, searchable, or listed publicly until you deliberately turn on link access — and even then, only people with the exact link can open it.
Privacy in Twish works at two levels: who can see the wishlist at all, and — separately — what the wishlist owner is allowed to see about reservations on their own list. Both default to the more private option.
Two independent privacy controls
- 1Access: choose "Only me" or "Anyone with the link." It's never publicly searchable.
- 2Reservation visibility: once shared, the owner still can't see which items are reserved, by whom, or how many reservations exist.
- 3Delivery address visibility: kept private by default, revealed only to guests who've reserved a gift, if the owner opts in.
- 4Any of these can be turned off at any time, instantly revoking access.
Why the owner can't peek
Even though Mila's parent created and manages her birthday wishlist, they see the same "available" status on every item as anyone else — reservation details are deliberately hidden from them so the surprise holds.
Frequently asked questions
- Will the wishlist owner know what I reserved?
- No. Reservation information stays hidden from the wishlist owner so the gift remains a surprise.
- Can I turn link access off after sharing it?
- Yes. Turning off link access immediately stops new visitors from opening the wishlist.
- Is a shared wishlist indexed by search engines?
- No. Shared wishlists are excluded from indexing and are never listed in any public directory or search.
