Information you give us

Account — your name, email address, and profile photo if you add one.

Wishlists — wishlist names, occasions and dates, and any description you add.

Wishes — titles, notes, images, product links, prices, and other details you add, or that we bring over when you import a product link.

Reservations — if you reserve a gift, the email and optional name you give us as a guest, or your account if you’re signed in.

Friends — which people you’ve added as friends, so we know whose wishlists to show you.

Delivery address — a delivery address, if you choose to add one.

Support — anything you tell us in a support request.

Imports — the wishlist link you give us if you import a wishlist from another service.

Information collected automatically

Like most web services, our servers automatically log basic technical information when you use Twish — your IP address, browser and device type, and the pages and actions you take. This is standard request-level logging, not precise location tracking.

How we use your information

We use your information to: create and maintain your account; save and display your wishlists; show a shared wishlist to the people you’ve given access to; handle reservations and prevent duplicate gifts; send sign-in links and service emails; respond to support requests; keep Twish secure; and understand, in aggregate, how the product is used so we can improve it.

We don’t use your information for advertising, and we don’t currently send marketing emails.

Who can see what

Wishlist owner — sees everything on their own wishlists, but never sees who reserved a gift, or which gifts have been reserved.

Guest or friend viewing a shared wishlist — sees only what that wishlist’s access setting allows (Only me, Friends, or Anyone with the link), and can see that a wish is reserved, but never by whom.

The person who reserved a gift — sees their own reservation, shown as “Reserved by you”.

Delivery address — private by default. It’s only shown to someone after they reserve a gift on your wishlist, and only if you’ve turned that setting on. Cancelling the reservation, or turning the setting off, revokes access immediately.

Third-party services

We use a small number of services to run Twish: Resend, to send sign-in links and account emails; Google and Apple, if you choose to sign in with them; and — not active by default — Google Analytics, which we may enable later to understand product usage. We don’t use any other analytics or advertising service today.

Do we sell your information?

No. Twish does not sell your personal information, and we don’t share it with third parties for their own advertising purposes.

How long we keep your information

We keep your account and wishlist information for as long as your account is active, and for as long as reasonably needed afterward to operate Twish, meet legal obligations, and keep the service secure. We haven’t yet set exact retention periods for every type of data — that’s a decision we’ll finalize and publish here before a public launch.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, object to or restrict some of how we use it, receive a copy of it in a portable format, and withdraw any consent you’ve given. If you’re in the European Economic Area or UK, you can also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email us — see Contact below.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. This removes your wishlists, wishes, delivery address, and friend connections, and cancels your own active reservations.

Children

Twish doesn’t currently ask for or verify a minimum age to create an account. A parent creating a wishlist for their child manages that wishlist through their own account — the child doesn’t get a Twish account of their own through that flow. We’ll update this section once we’ve defined a formal minimum age.

Cookies

Twish uses a small number of cookies, described in full on our Cookie Policy page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Twish evolves. If we make a significant change, we’ll make a reasonable effort to let you know.
