Twish uses exactly three cookies. Two are essential and can’t be turned off, because they’re what make signing in and reserving gifts actually work.

twish_session — keeps you signed in. Lasts 30 days.

twish_guest_id — lets us recognize a reservation as yours even if you’re not signed in, so you can see “Reserved by you”. Lasts 1 year.

The third is a preference, not tracking: twish_locale — remembers which language you’ve chosen. Lasts 1 year.

If you choose “Accept all” in the cookie banner, Twish also turns on a small, first-party usage log stored in your browser’s local storage — it never leaves your device, and it helps us see which features get used. We may also enable Google Analytics in the future for the same purpose; it stays off until you accept it. Choosing “Only necessary” keeps both of these off.

You can change your mind at any time. Clearing your browser’s site data for Twish resets your choice, and the cookie banner will ask again next time you visit.
